Pregnancy Cookbook Recalled Over Harmful Ingredients in Recipes

A pregnancy cookbook has been recalled after it emerged that some ingredients used in the recipes may be harmful to expecting mothers.

The Happy Baby Cookbook, published in Australia, was recalled after the New South Wales Food Safety Authority advised the publisher to do so. Donald Campbell, principal public health advisor for the New Zealand Food Safety Authority said that this was an opportunity for pregnant women to reflect on the food they consumed.

Some of the foods that carry the risk of infections like listeria and salmonella include aw fish and shellfish, cold cuts, deli salads, sushi and foods containing raw eggs.
