Pregnant Women Turn Models to Celebrate Women’s Day
Fortis Hospital in Bengaluru celebrated the International Women’s day in a different and unique way by organizing a fashion show for expectant mothers.
The Nest, the maternity center at Fortis Hospitals conducted the show with the theme ”Celebrating that special glow of motherhood”.

About twenty four expectant mothers walked the ramp at the hospital exhibiting their beauty, charm and talents. The evening began with a dance show for couples, where the expectant mothers danced along with their husbands gracefully.

To their surprise, pregnant women were introduced through an audio-visual (AV) by their husbands and at the end the mommies-to-be spoke about their expectations of motherhood eloquently.

The participants were judged by the renowned athlete from Bengaluru, Mrs.Reeth Abraham, who holds the achievement of winning a national championship within ten months of giving birth.

“The Nest is very close to my heart as this is where my baby was born too. And I congratulate the fraternity here for such an amazing initiative, as events like these will certainly create an atmosphere of ease and will have a positive impact on not just the mother but the baby as well,” said Reeth Abraham.

She also stated that this excellent initiative provided a platform for the mommies-to-be to exhibit their skills and talent.

“We at Fortis not only take care of their physical health also their overall emotional well being as motherhood comes with its own concerns and apprehensions. This was an initiative from our end to relieve them off their anxiety and stress to built in a sense of confidence among them. We are happy that the event was highly successful and we were able to brighten the glow of motherhood among these expectant mothers,” said Mr. Vijayarathna, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru.
