A 19-year old teenager from Wales has been eating nothing except Margherita pizzas for the last eight years as she suffers from a rare eating disorder.
Sophie Ray from Wrexham, Wales, suffers from an eating disorder known as Selective Eating Disorder (SED) and started eating Margherita pizzas since she was 11 years old, though she started fearing food ever since she suffered from a bout of gastroenteritis when she was two years old.

Soon after recovering from that illness she started to eat just cheesy pasta, chips and lemon curd sandwiches before shifting to plain pizzas with no extra toppings when she was 11 years old.

“The thought of trying other foods makes me very anxious, I feel sick and really clam up. The taste the texture even the smell of some foods can make me gag. A lot of people think I'm just a picky eater but SED is a phobia. Asking me to try new foods is like asking someone who hates spiders to hold one”, she said.
