A six joint robotic arm can now be controlled by a hand-held input device developed by researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute.
The robot is able to copy the movement when the users hold the device and move the hand.

Bernhard Kleiner of the Fraunhofer Institute said, "Special algorithms have been developed which fuse the data of individual sensors and identify a pattern of movement. That means we can detect movements in free space".

The new system can be a blessing in industrial production in the area of training. This technique is an able tool for doctors  in assisting  patients with Parkinson’s disease.
