Women who were born as preemies carry a double risk of suffering from hypertension, gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia, a study has revealed. Such women are at a high risk of suffering complications during their own pregnancies, a study suggests.
"We found that the more premature a lady was born, the higher the risk of having pregnancy complications," Dr. Anne Monique Nuyt, a neonatologist and researcher at Sainte-Justine University Hospital, said Monday from Montreal.
