Robots to better understand bone movement

Researchers are developing a moving bone visualizer which gives better understanding about bone movement in patients with orthopedic injuries.

Robots would be used for understanding the mechanism of joint motion and movement of bones in specific regions like shoulder, knee, elbow and angle as these are the regions which are mostly being used and are susceptible to injuries. Professor Scott Bank from University of Florida is developing a robot which accurately detects and visualizes the bones of patients with orthopedic injuries when they are working or walking.

By understanding how bones are working in these patients through a full motion X-ray operated by a computer program it will better help in the physician to understand the problems involved in these patients and would help the doctor to offer better treatment to these patients.
