Schools closed in Rwanda due to cholera outbreak and the health ministry working hard to prevent spread of cholera

Schools, bars and markets have been ordered to close in Rwanda following the spread of cholera. The Minister of Health has ordered the closure to prevent any further spread of cholera which has killed more than 18 people and more than hundred infected in Masaka sector,// which has reported the highest number of cholera infection. As there is an increased shortage of food and good drinking water due to scarcity. Drinking or eating of contaminated food infected with Vibrio Cholerae, which produces an enterotoxin inside the abdomen leading to increased diarrhea and dehydration, causes cholera. The people were asked not to drink from the River Nyabarongo, which is said to be the source of cholera bacterium. The Health Ministry and Red Cross are working closely to avoid the spread of cholera infection.
