Health experts have found no evidence of rise in leukemia cases among children residing close to Britain’s nuclear power stations. The committee on Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment was unable to find any evidence connecting childhood leukemia to Britain’s 13 nuclear stations.
According to statistics, only 414 cases of leukemia was reported within 25km of a nuclear plant in the last three decades.
