Scientists have discovered that frequent sexual intercourse can actually reduce the risk of suffering a terminal heart attack.Middle aged men can have sex as many times as they like without having to fear their risk of having a stroke, according to research.
Professor Shah Ebrahim, who led the University of Bristol team, said men should be livened by the research, which digresses fears that there is a link between sex and strokes. The team based its findings on a 23 year study of 7,000 men aged between 47 and 60, in England.During the study, which is backed by the Stroke Association, 65 participants had a stroke, including 26 who died. It showed that although the chances of a stroke were slightly lower among men having the least sex, there was no clear evidence those having intercourse more often were at greater risk. The study also found that sudden death from heart disease was more common in those reporting low to moderate levels of sexual activity.
