In Dundee, UK a sexual health service for young people was opened in 2002. This mainly helps and attends to teenage sexual problems especially to those living in Western Europe. The main aim of this service was to reduce the growing number of sexual problems among the teenagers. According to the statistics Dundee, is the city with the highest proportion of young teenage pregnancies in Western Europe. But this sexual service was shut down due to financial crisis.

Caledonia Youth said that its branch in the area was closed due to some financial problems at health board National Health Service (NHS) Tayside. Margaret Pullin, chair of Caledonia Youth, said that the staff worked among vulnerable teenagers. These teenagers had a lot of problems such as learning difficulties and expressed concern their needs would now be overlooked. However, Professor Tony Wells, chief executive of NHS Tayside, said while there had been a re-organisation, there would be no reduction in clinical services and it had a new strategy to enhance sexual health and wellbeing in the community.
