Rocker Sharon Osbourne has lifted the lid on her health woes, in her autobiography ‘Survivor’.
In the tome, the ‘X Factor judge’ reveals that she was seriously overweight during the late nineties and had a gastric band fitted. Though she lost about nine stones in a year, she had to undergo plastic surgery to get rid of the loose skin, Osbourne recounts.“By the end of the 90s I had become seriously overweight and I had a gastric band fitted. A year later I'd lost 125lbs - about nine stone - and went from a dress size 22 down to a 10,” the Mirror quoted her, as saying.
“First the huge amount of plastic surgery I needed to get rid of the skin that was hanging off me. I had my tummy tucked, legs lifted, arse lifted, breasts lifted, liposuction everywhere to get rid of the fat that wouldn't shift, and I had a face lift, including my neck,” she added.
However, as she adds, all did not end there because she developed ‘acid reflux’. “The other downside was the acid reflux. It was agony and the food I'd just eaten would come back up. Sometimes food came out of my nose,” she said.
“On March 30, 2007, I went into Cedars-Sinai to have one band removed and a new one fitted,” she said. Admitting that all that she did including the eating; dieting and cosmetic surgery was ‘self abuse’, the 52-year-old claimed that she is much better now.
“Now I'm feeling fine and nothing comes down my nose. No crumbs, no major bits of food that get trapped,” she added. The mum of two also said that being a ‘glutton’, she knows she will get back to her old habits

“They don't care if I put on weight - that, after all, was the mum they grew up with. Nor did Ozzy. He says he loves me whatever size I am and he has proved it. He loved me when I was the size of a garden shed,” she said.
