Smart drugs for alcohol hangovers not effective

Drugs both conventional and complementary are not found to be very effective in controlling party hangovers.

Party alcohol hangovers cannot be cured by taking medications reports a study published in British Medical Journal. Researchers have found from review of eight clinical trials that complementary and allopathic medicines have no cure in reducing hangovers which occur after alcohol consumption. Though, no drug is found to be effective in treating hangovers tolfenamic acid reported less symptoms of headache, nausea, vomiting and thirst. Complementary remedies such as sugar, succinnic acid, fumaric acid, L-glutamine, herbs, charcoal, calcium carbonate, vitamins and minerals also found to be effective. The best remedy to prevent hangovers is to prevent hangover is to avoid drinking or to drink in moderately.
