Tyramine, that is formed from the breakdown of protein in food as it gets old, can cause the blood pressure to rise, resulting in headaches.
Food could also cause headaches. Researchers have now revealed certain food items which could trigger headaches. The study suggested that food items such as smoked or cured meats, aged cheeses, citrus fruits, sauerkraut, soy sauce, red wine and certain beers trigger a headache. The researchers revealed that these food items contain Tyramine, a naturally occurring amino acid. Tyramine is formed from the breakdown of protein in food as it gets old. This can cause the blood pressure to rise, resulting in headaches.
