A new study conducted by a group of American researchers revealed that lighting up cigarettes could affect how they perform in the bed.

At the end of the study, around 20 men had not smoked for a week while the remaining continued to light up. The researchers found that those who had quit the habit in the last week were aroused faster than those who continued to smoke while the width of their penis also showed greater growth.
However the participants said that they did not find any improvements in their sexual lives in real life settings though the researchers said that this could be because it would take more time for them to notice the difference from outside the lab.
Speaking to Reuters Health, Harte said, “Regardless of if this really does apply to all men who smoke or not (the goal was) just getting the word out that men could be aware of this finding, so it could influence their decisions to start the quitting process”. The study has been published in the British Journal of Urology International.
