Biotronik has launched a Reliaty pacing system analyzer (PSA) in Europe. This handheld device is used to check lead placement, cardiac functions and pacing parameters during implantation of pacemakers, ICDs and CRT's. Biotronik is the only company which manufactures a hand-held PSA. This battery operated device comes with a new intuitive user interface and option for connecting to larger external screen which enables quick and easy testing. The measurements can be downloaded from the PSA to a memory stick or printed via Bluetooth. For easy accommodation of CRT cases the new Reality has an advanced feature- an additional test channel for testing of three implanted cardiac leads. Cardiologist in the Rijnstate Clinic Arnhem, Dr. Richard Derksen said, "Using the Reliaty allows me to be more flexible during implant procedures.
