Over 200 malaria cases were identified in the government owned SMS Hospital here while 190 people are said to be suffering from dengue at present.On Monday alone, 11 new cases of malaria and nine dengue cases were reported in the hospital.
Over and above these, 41 malaria and 61 dengue cases were so far identified in J.K. Lone hospital here.
Although the state government has to date denied any malaria or dengue related deaths, unconfirmed reports put the death toll at 12 in the capital city.
"More than one-third people coming for pathological examinations are malaria or dengue positive," said a doctor Tuesday here.
Karauli, Bharatpur, Alwar, Sikar, Jodhpur and Barmer are other places, which have reported large number of malaria and dengue cases.

The medical and health department Principal Secretary Sudhir Bhargava said intensive campaign was being run on the basis of the special strategy. The mobile units were identifying malaria patients from door-to-door and providing speedy treatment on the spot.

Bhargava said the mobile teams were treating patients in the 2,469 villages of the 12 recently flood affected districts besides others.
