Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) scientists have identified a bizarre new species of fanged "blackfish" among other strange creatures while exploring a volcano off the coast of Australia. Scientists captured an image of the scaleless blackfish, which had eel-like idiacanthidae and the chauliodontidae with fang like front teeth.
Professor Iain Suthers, chief scientist on the voyage, said the discovery changed the way researchers studied younger fish as till now they though fish only developed in coastal estuaries, and that once larvae were swept out to sea that was end of them. The researchers also discovered four extinct volcanoes on the ocean-floor.
