Stressful Life, Modern Diets Making Women Bald

A survey has found that a large number of women are going bald and it is all because of their busy lifestyles and modern diets.

Taking full care of your hair but can’t stop it from falling? Scared, that you might just end up going bald, but don’t know the reason behind hair loss? Well, the reason, if you are a woman, is your stressful life.

A survey into women’s attitudes concerning health, beauty and celebrity culture carried out by vitamin supplement makers Vitabiotics Perfectil, has found that a large number of women are going bald and it is all because of their busy lifestyles and modern diets.

In the survey over 2,000 women were examined.

Also, the study revealed that today’s stressful living has increased acne in adults.

The study found that nearly 20 per cent of British women were suffering from hair loss and 38 per cent from adult acne.

In the survey, almost 75 per cent women claimed that their self-esteem was affected because of their female hair loss and adult acne.

When quizzed as to what impacted most on the health of skin, hair and nails, almost half of the respondents thought that their diet had the largest impact, followed by more than a quarter who believed their stress levels were mostly to blame.

Registered nutritionist Anita Ellis said that the problem was ‘extremely worrying’.

“I regularly see female clients suffering from hair loss and adult acne and the fact that over a third of women have been to their GPs highlights how serious the problem is,” the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

“Stress is rife in our busy lives and it inevitably takes a toll on the way that we look. There needs to be more information accessible for women on how to deal with these conditions as it is clear that they are having a serious impact on their emotional well-being,” she said.

Researchers said that more than three-quarters of women felt that there was not much information available about improving one’s thinning hair.

The survey found that one in five women resorted to ‘comfort eating’ and almost the same number cancelled social arrangements in order to relieve themselves from the tension of hair-loss and acne.
