Chandrakant Patil a resident of Kalyan has shown symptoms of Dengue fever.
Municipal authorities are taking due precaution following reports of suspected dengue fever in Kalyan town, in the nearby Thane district, with the blood sample of the affected being sent for investigations.
"Chandrakant Patil a resident of Kalyan has shown symptoms of Dengue fever and we have sent his blood samples for further investigation and are awaiting the reports," KDMC run Municipal hospital doctor Sanjeev Kamble said.We have already begin the sanitisation of the area and pesticides are being sprayed across the town as a precautionary measure, he added.
When contacted Pundalik Mhatare, Mayor of KDMC, said the doctors have sent the blood sample of the patient for test and hence the Dengue fever can be confirmed only after the investigation of the blood sample comes to us.
He also appealed to the residents of the area to report all cases of fever to the Municipal hospitals and take immediate medical help.
