Swine Flu Claims 12 More Lives in Telangana, South India; 77 Diagnosed till April

Since January, 7,481 samples have been tested, of which 2,301 were found to be positive for the H1N1 virus. Deaths due to swine flu and related complications has been 77.

Twelve more cases of swine flu have been reported in Telangana, where 77 people have succumbed to the H1NI virus since the beginning of this year.
A state health department press release said that, "Since 1 January till April 4, 7,481 samples were tested out of which 2,301 were found to be positive. The number of deaths because of swine flu and related complications is 77."

The department also said that twelve out of the 58 samples sent for analysis on April 4 were found positive for the virus.

The health experts have advised citizens to take precautions such as reporting to the hospital on appearance of first symptoms of swine flue like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pains.
