Xi Shun, 55, from China is the world’s tallest man alive. He is 7 feet, 8.95 inches tall. The Guinness Day is to be celebrated across the globe on November 9th. Xi will be sent to Brazil to participate in the celebrations.
His record will be published in the Guinness Book of Records, 2007, which he will autograph in Rio de Janeiro. He will visit Sao Paulo and enjoy a ride with Sao Paulo's famous Avenida Paulista.Xi is a herdsman by profession and was born and brought up in north China's Inner Mongolia. "Before, I wanted to be normal, but now I am satisfied," he said.
Xi entered the Guinness book of records in 2005 after undergoing several mental and physical tests. The tests proved that he had naturally attained this height unlike previous record-holder Robert Wadlow, 8 feet, 11.1 inch tall, who had a growth disorder.
A hotel in Rio de Janeiro has made several arrangements for Xi’s stay. His room has been furnished with the largest double king-size bed and a single bed, for his feet!!
