Donna Shaw, 17, was aware that she suffered from a rare form of cancer that could not be treated. Knowing fully well that her days are numbered, she had planned her last few days in great detail including her own funeral. Suffering from bone cancer Ewing's Sarcoma, the teenager from Alvaston, Derby, had undergone surgery and chemotherapy. Doctors had also given up since nothing more could be done to save her.
Donna then began planning everything including her funeral to the detail. Apparently she had already decided the way her funeral should be arranged, including the number who will carry her coffin. The flower arrangement for the occasion was also chosen by her.
The teenager succumbed to the illness on Tuesday morning.
