The length of the day will start reducing from Saturday till December 21, which will be the winter solstice - the shortest day of the year.
According to News.com.au, Southeast Queensland is set to receive just under ten and a half hours of sunshine on Friday, with Sun to rise at 6.37am and set at 5.02pm.
The day will also fall on June 21, next two years.
