McDonald’s has captured the imagination of young minds by creating a new toy with the burger theme. The burger flipping toy is designed to motivate kids to role-play , a move which has disappointed health experts, as it encourages unhealthy eating habits. The kit which is priced at £59.99 - is a smaller version of McDonald's drive-through counter. It has McDonald's logos and branding, and is equipped with a variety of toy eateries - Happy meals, plastic burgers , fries and buns.
There is a toy deep-fat frier which actually sizzles when the chips are added.
Tam Fry, a spokesperson for the National Obesity forum has said that this is a bad example of how big brands influence the minds of children.
But, McDonalds still insists that it is just a toy and nothing more!
