After the bird flu virus here comes another virus that us causing havoc. Known as the Noro virus it is basically a stomach affecting virus that manifests itself in the form of severe vomiting and diarrhea. Noro virus is a combination of the stomach flu and the Norwalk virus.
The virus has been known to affect more than 200 central Albertans. The virus has struck in Alberta, as of now.What is concerning the authorities even more is its refusal to go back and let go.
The virus has caused four outbreaks as of now since December. An outbreak at Alberta Hospital Ponoka has been ongoing for nearly two months. The worst part is that despite efforts by staff to disinfect surfaces and restrict visitors, more than 100 staff and patients at the hospital have been infected.
This is a cause of worry and efforts are underway to curb the advent of the virus further. Hope it works!
