After battling weight issues for years, Duchess of York, Fergie is apparently in secret talks with Asda to come up with a range of healthy ready meals.
Recently, Fergie appeared in the ITV documentary Duchess in Hull, where millions of viewers saw her convincing the Sargerson family to swap their bangers and beans for a healthy diet. And now, the royal mascot of healthy diet feels that she can also make it possible for the rest of Britain to eat healthy after asking Asda to help her launch a range of nutritious food for families on a budget.
While Asda is refusing to comment, a source has confirmed that they are in talks with the Duchess.
"We have been approached by the Duchess," The Mirror quoted a source, as saying.
Fergie seems to be following in the footsteps of Jamie Oliver by promoting herself as a healthy food guru and for this; she has even devised a five-point plan with healthy eating on a budget as the key.
Fergie, an ambassador for Weight watchers, also wants to lobby supermarkets to provide cheaper fruit and vegetables.

Fergie’s visit has encouraged Tonia Sargerson, 45, husband Mick, 51 and their five children aged seven to 24, so much so, that they have started eating healthy meals instead of junk food. And now, they vouch that they have each lost a stone since switching to lean meat with fresh vegetables.

She said: "I had to go to the heart of a real family. It means that when I do go and see Alan Johnson or Ed Balls I can go with honesty in my heart - and say I have learned from the Sarger sons and think the government should be doing it this way."
