A recent study from McMaster University has revealed the connection between pitch of the voice, hormones and tendency to cheat on partners. In a study conducted by researchers, men generally perceived that women with a higher voice are likely to cheat on their partner. On the same lines, women believed that men with a lower voice are the ones likely to cheat on their partner.
The study published in the online journal Evolutionary Psychology, shows a link between hormones, pitch and the tendency to cheat. Men with high testosterone levels usually speak in a lower pitch, and the high hormonal levels could be causing them to be disloyal to their partners. Similarly, women with high estrogen levels speak in a higher pitch and portray a strong tendency towards infidelity.
