‘Liver, heart valves and the heart of Vamshi Krishna were shifted to Hyderabad and were utilized on the listed patients under the Jeevandan scheme of the government.’
The family of Vamshi showing came forward to donate his organs. His parents Venugopal Rao and Rajeswari gave their consent to donate all his useful organs through the Jeevandan Trust. The doctors immediately made arrangements for the organ transplantation and to transplant them on six people who were waiting for donors. The heart was used by Apollo Hospitals for a 26-year-old patient and heart valves were given to Innova Children’s Heart Hospital. The liver was given to Yashoda Hospital and has been transplanted on a 42-year-old patient from Ludhiana.
