A training programme doe district level trainers for taking care of new-born babies and pregnant mothers was inaugurated by state health secretary at Bhubaneshawar
BHUBANESWAR: A train the trainers programme for district level trainers was inaugurated by the state health secretary - Mr RN Senapati.
The trainers would provide training to the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and recruited under the National Rural Health Mission to help by taking care of new-born babies and pregnant mothers.About 12,730 ASHAs will be recruited in the state and posted in each Anganwadi centres.
The district level trainers will impart training to block-level trainers, who in turn will train the ASHAs.
Thirty district level trainers from Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara district attended the first phase training programme.
