Identical twin sisters, diagnosed with leukemia two years back are putting up a triumphant battle against the disease. They were diagnosed within a week of each other with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2009, when they were just four years old.
It is now two years since they began the treatment and the girls are doing well. They have just begun school.
During the last two years, the children underwent powerful chemotherapy. Presently, they are in the maintenance stage which involves daily treatment in a milder form.
The parents are looking forward to some normalcy in their lives after the big ordeal.
