U.S. Parents Put Technology to Use While Babysitting

A survey of more than 2400 U.S parents revealed that 25% of them use a high-tech gadget to travel, kill boredom, babysit a child and during functions in the family.

CouponCodes4u.com conducted a survey which found nearly 6 out of 10 U.S. parents have put their high-tech gadget such as an iPad, handheld game console, or Smartphone to babysit their child and keep him or her busy with a gadget.

Home-Based Day-Care Overexposes Kids To Television
A new American study has found that a significant majority of children aged between 2 to 5 do not get sufficient physical activity and are exposed to the TV for most of the day.

The parents who took the survey said they used a tech gadget to babysit a child to bring about a change in their parenting monotony. It also gave parents some time for themselves.

Fifteen percent of the parents surveyed said they never used technology to babysit their kids. Some 12 percent said they would prefer to spend time with their kids.
