Vaginal massage for four minutes during last four months of pregnancy helps vaginal area to expand.
Professor Michael Beckmann and his colleagues have reported in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews that massage technique to the lower genital tract reduces the surgical procedure such as Episiotomy during birthing process.
Episiotomy is a surgical procedure done in the perineum in the area between the vagina and anus during the labor period involved during birthing process to expand the opening of the vagina for free delivery of the baby without tearing the perineum and surrounding area.Researchers have reported that a massage of lower genital tract during the period of last four to five weeks for four minutes helps the vaginal area to expand and helps to avoid surgical procedure during birthing process.
