One of the world’s longest survivors of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, Jonathan Simms from West Belfast, died on Saturday night after fighting the disease for ten long years.
One of the world’s longest survivors of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, Jonathan Simms from West Belfast, died on Saturday night after fighting the disease for ten long years. He was diagnosed with the human form of the mad cow disease while he was studying for his A level exams.
His funeral was conducted at the family home.
