A Canadian toddler, aged 13 months from Edmonton, Alberta, wandered into a neighbor’s backyard and was later found curled in the snow in sub zero temperatures. She was frozen stiff and her heart had stopped beating.
When she was brought to the hospital, doctors declared her clinically dead, but lo and behold, she was awake and smiling on Monday in a miraculous recovery. Read on to know more.
The temperature outside was –24 degree Celsius and the baby was frozen stiff when she was brought to the hospital that doctors had difficulties opening her mouth. The girl heart had stopped and she was pulse less when she was brought to the hospital.
Doctors at Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Center withheld the name of the baby and added that the mother was recovering from the mental trauma of the ordeal. The baby’s heart which appeared to have stopped for a couple of hours just started beating as the doctors were preparing to place the baby in a heart lung machine.
