A large piece of ice is reported to have fallen from the sky in the Indian State of West Bengal on 27 January 2006. This is reported to have taken place at the Katnabil Village, resulting in a flutter in the area. The phenomenon has been dismissed as absurd by weather experts. The impact is reported to have created a crater which is about a foot deep, according to photographer Rana Ghosh. The police station in-charge Sudipta Banerjee said he had sent a probe team.
