Wednesday is the day when we are on our best behaviour and care more for our health, according to a new survey. The survey of 5,000 people by health supplements firm Bioglan found that it takes us until Wednesday to throw off bad habits from the weekend.
This is also the day we are most likely to get eight hours sleep and eat our five-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables.
And one in five of us will go to the gym and three quarters will avoid alcohol on what has been dubbed "wellness Wednesday".
"By Wednesday we feel more in control of our lives," the Daily Express quoted Dr Vicky Senior, a health psychologist at Surrey University, as saying.
But the survey found the "wellness Wednesday" factor might only be temporary as one in 10 admits they will be ready to kickstart the weekend by the next day.
