Christine Ball has revealed how it took her weeks to remove her 80-year-old mother from starving to death at Conquest hospital in Hastings. The Sunday Times reported that Ms Ball had issues with the National Health Service end-of-life protocol.
"My mother was going to be left to starve and dehydrate to death," Ball said. "It really is a subterfuge for legalized euthanasia of the elderly on the NHS."The elderly woman was not given proper care after doctors decided that she had days to live as her pneumonia was incurable.
The report said that Ball's mother was relocated to a nursing home after she convinced doctors to resume artificial feeding.
