This is the first case of suspected swine flu death this summer in the state though the H1N1 virus had claimed nearly 27 lives since January this year.
A 20-year old pregnant woman dies due to suspected H1N1 virus at Ambedkar Hospital in Chhattisgarh on august 17. This could perhaps indicate the comeback of swine flu in the city. The hospital authorities are yet to confirm the cause of her death due to swine flu though she had its symptoms. The final report of her swab test is still awaited. The woman who hails from Bhilai was admitted to Ambedkar hospital on august 17 after her condition deteriorated at Durg district hospital.
The woman was reportedly brought to the hospital an unconscious state and admitted in the isolation ward, the doctors said.
