Looking young seems to be top of mind for most women and it appears they will go any extent to try odd anti-ageing treatments, including placenta face masks and bee venom. And women are willing to shell out a bomb to gain a youthful look.
British discount website MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, polled 2,173 30-and-over women. It was found that women are shelling out at least 250 pounds per year on anti-ageing products and procedures. The study revealed that the placenta face mask was one of the most sought after procedures, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"It's clear that many would go to extreme lengths in the name of anti-ageing should money be no question, and to see that the average women spend over 250 pounds fighting the signs of ageing was surprising," Mark Pearson, chairman of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, said.
Some of the odd anti-ageing treatments include placenta face masks, bee venom, vampire face masks, leeches, sperm facial, bird poo facial, cactus massage and urine therapy.
