Women With Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Should Avoid Infertility Treatments
Researchers have outlined the risk for women with multiple sclerosis (MS) and who are on assisted reproduction technology (ART) infertility treatment as it could up the disease activity.
Researchers said that reproductive hormones play a role in the regulation and increasing the risk of immune responses in autoimmune disease. It is better for such women to avoid hormonal treatments.

"When MS and infertility coincide, patients seek ART to achieve pregnancy. Given the role of some reproductive hormones in autoimmune diseases, those with MS receiving infertility treatments are at particular risk of exacerbating their disease."
