Working Parents Have Almost No Time to Spare for Relaxation
A new study has revealed that working parents have just about 90 minutes a day of spare time, which means they have almost no relaxation at all.
The study by Co-operative Food involved 3,000 working mums and dads. It found that those polled spend eight hours and 12 minutes working every day. Of this, seven hours is pent at work and the rest of time is devoted to finishing work remotely.

“Our survey shows that working parents feel under enormous pressure to succeed both professionally and personal,” Helen Bridgett of Co-Operative told the Daily Mail.

The survey found that a majority of working parents wake at 6 42 am and that they get to bed after 10.45pm. Most of their spare time is spent commuting, caring for kids and other chored.

Over 30% of those surveyed said they would like more time for themselves, while 26% felt they could have a better sex life if they were not tired all the time. Some 40% wanted to read books, while 34% wanted more time to exercise.

“Life has become one big juggling act, and it means people have little time to pursue their hobbies,” Ms Bridgett said.
