Jane Ribeiro Moraes, 63, granddaughter of Valentim told a local newspaper that her grandma also has a great liking for feijoada, Brazil's national dish, a hearty bean stew with various cuts of salted pork meat and chicken empanada pastries with a lot of hot sauce.
According to Guinness, Ms Valentim, aged 114 years and 313 days, is 48 days older than the previous holder, Besse Cooper from the U.S.
