Yoga will keep David Beckham fit to play top-level football well into his forties - so he hopes. The footie hunk, 35, fell in love with the workout after a one-on-one lesson with the technique founder Bikram Choudhury last year.
And he has become so addicted to the increasingly popular spiritual exercise that he's been selling its benefits to Hollywood pals Tom Cruise, 48, and Will Smith, 41, and his team-mates.
"David was introduced to Bikram by basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at a steakhouse in Los Angeles a few years back," the Daily Star quoted a source close to the star as saying.
"Kareem told Beckham how regular Bikram yoga sessions would help heal his body, relax his mind and help him carry on playing football for years to come.
"At first David was sceptical it would really make a difference to his body but after a one-on-one session David instantly fell in love with the technique and has been doing it ever since," said the source.
Beckham's football career looked in tatters after missing this year's World Cup with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
