It is just ten days since twenty one year old Saranya, a young engineering graduate, met with a gruesome road accident while she was traveling with her friends in a car near Perudhurai.
While four of her friends traveling in the car died instantly, Saranya was in a comatose state and doctors at KMCH Coimbatore declared her brain dead.

Medical specialists from the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) harvested the organs of Saranya. Her eyes, two kidneys, two heart valves and liver were harvested and will be donated to those who need organs.

Saranya’s family members took a decision to donate her organs and the harvested organs will benefit seven patients, doctors said.

The eyes were sent to Aravind Eye Hospital at Coimbatore and other organs were sent to Chennai Apollo hospital.
