With advancements in the medical sciences, one of the challenges has been that many a times the patients are not sure which doctor they should consult for their health problem. This often leads to visits to many doctors before finding the right one. This becomes even more important if you happen to suffers from a rare disorder.

Most doctors practising in the community are either family physicians or specialists. The family physicians or primary care doctors generally treat routine ailments such as stomach upsets, cold, flu or minor wounds and also conduct regular check-ups. The specialists are specific to an organ or system of the body like a cardiologist for heart problems or a neurologist for brain related ailments.

Doctors who are mainly surgeons - some example includes General Surgeon, Urologist, Orthopedicians, Neuro-surgeon and Cardio-thoracic Surgeon

Doctors who work as both physicians and surgeons - some examples are - Eye specialist, ENT specialist, Obstetrics and Gynecologist

Doctors who mainly do diagnostics and some of the examples includes pathologist, microbiologist, Geneticist and radiologist

Experts practicing in the medical field without a valid medical qualifications but who may have qualification from specialist societies include podiatrist, osteopaths, physiotherapist and Dieticians.

I am thankful to the organisers of this site for giving a timely advise on the calorie intake. You shoud include the recommmended indian food and the exact quantity to be taken with timings (breakfast, lunch, dinner, midday snacks and beavarages etc..)depending on the weight,age and height of the person.An approximation of the weight intended to be reduced per week may also be included.
