Diagnosis of Ringworm Disease
Ringworm diagnosis is made from skin scrapings, nail clippings, or infected hair samples.
Scrapings from the edge of the ringworm lesion is mixed with 10% KOH solution and studied under the microscope.
Ringworm infected hair can be checked for fluorescence under ultraviolet light
Samples can be cultured in the laboratory.
