Milk allergy refers to abnormal immune response to one or more proteins found in milk.

Milk allergy can be a difficult condition to deal with, especially for children. It’s not only about the physical discomfort but emotional and psychological factors are equally affected in younger patients as they have to refrain themselves with most of the goodies that their peer can indulge in.

Many a times, milk allergy is confused with “lactose intolerance”. In cases of milk allergy, immune system reacts with the protein present in the milk, where as lactose intolerance is due to lack of enzyme lactase in the digestive system and this hampers the process of digestion in the stomach.
