Electrocardiography: A procedure that measures the electrical activity of the heart.Hernioplasty: A surgical procedure for repairing a hernia, in which the hernial sac is excised, stitched, and the weakness strengthened using a mesh.
Herniorrhaphy: A surgical procedure for repairing a hernia that involves opening the hernial sac, pushing the herniated structures back into their normal place, and closing the hernial sac, and stitching-up the wound.
Herniotomy: A surgical procedure for repairing a hernia by cutting through a band of tissue that constricts it.
Prolene® Mesh: A mesh made of polypropylene that is used in hernia operations.
