Nag Tibba: 55 kms from Mussoorie, this is a trekking spot. it is surrounded by forests but there is no place to stay here.

There are places that are still untouched by man. In these places the 150-year old English culture still exists. One such place is Landor. Here there is a guest house called "The First Estate" where a missionary lady Ms.Julia has been living since 1947.This 70-year old guest house was built by the missionaries. "The Red Burn Oaks Estate" is another guest house built in 1945.

Carlton Hotel is close to Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy in Mussoorie. This 100-year old hotel was built by the English to spend their summer holidays. Even today this hotel remains as it was then.

The oldest luxury hotel in Mussoorie is the Savoy. Built by Mr. Lincoln in 1902 even today it is is the biggest hotel on a hill station. The Princess of Wales had stayed here in 1906. Surrounded by deodar trees, almost 300 years old, this hotel was built when all the materials to make it were brought up by ponies.

The huge billiards table, the king size beds, the dining table and the chandeliers are still preserved. Many dignitaries and other important guests have stayed in this hotel. In one corner of this hotel lie some handcarts which tell us the story of the better days gone by.

Restaurants: There are many restaurants in Mussoorie which serve Indian and European cuisine. Some of the popular ones are Kwality, Whispering Window and Neelam.

Travel Plans :

Air: The closest airport is the Jolly Grant but it does not have regular flights.

Rail: The closest railway station is Dehra Dun which is 36 kms from Mussoorie. Dehra Dun is connected by rail to all the metropolitan cities. From Dehra Dun to Mussoorie one can go by bus or taxis.

Road: Tourism Departments of various states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi etc. operate tourist buses to Mussoorie.

Tourist Season : The best time is mid April to mid June and mid September to mid November.
