Cetirizine is prescribed for treating hay fever (sneezing, red, itchy and watery eyes),allergies (dust mites, animal dander or molds), angioedema, symptoms of urticaria (swollen, red, and itchy skin), pollen-induced allergy, insect bites, food and drug allergies.
Cetirizine is also used to treat the symptoms (inflammation of the lymph nodes in the neck) of Kimura''s disease.
